Choose one of two security enforcement options:

When loading dBASE Plus

When a user attempts to start dBASE Plus itself, a login (including Group and User names as well as Password) is required.

WARNING: If you choose this enforcement option, make sure you have set a Group and User name for your administrator password and memorized all three; otherwise you will be permanently locked out of dBASE Plus.

When opening an encrypted table

By default. whenever a user tries to view a form linked to an encrypted dBASE (DBF) table, a login (User login name, Group name, and Password) is required. This permits anyone to use dBASE Plus and to access unencrypted dBASE tables or non-dBASE tables, but prevents unauthorized users from accessing protected dBASE tables. DEFAULT.

How to get there: Choose File|Database Administration. Click Security. Enter the administrator password. In the Security dialog box, click the Enforcement tab.
