Set user groups’ access-level privileges for a selected dBASE (DBF) table and specific fields within the selected table.

Dialog box options

 

Directory

Click the Down arrow or the folder button to find the directory that contains the DBF table whose security you want to set.

Table

Select from the list the table for which you want to set access privileges. Only DBF tables are listed.

Modify table

Click to open the Edit Table Privileges dialog box to set a group’s table access privileges (Read, Update, Extend, or Delete) for the selected table and to set individual field access privileges (Full, Read-Only, or None) for that table.

How to get there: Choose File|Database Administration. Click Security. Enter the administrator password. In the Security dialog box, click the Tables tab.
