Customize settings for the dBASE Plus desktop environment. The Data Entry page lets you specify how you use the keyboard, view data entry fields, and use the bell.

Keyboard
Set options for keyboard behavior.
Confirm If checked, the insertion point moves to the next input area only when you press Enter or a direction key, or when you click another field with the mouse. If unchecked, the insertion point moves immediately to the next input area when the current one is full. The default is on (checked).
CUA Enter Specify whether the Enter key behaves in Windows mode (checked) or DOS (unchecked) mode when a form is open. If checked, Enter submits the current form. If unchecked, Enter moves from object to object on a form. The default is on (checked).
Escape If checked, pressing Esc interrupts program execution. The default is on (checked).
Type-ahead Specify the size of the keyboard typeahead buffer. The range is 0 to 1600. The default size is 49 characters.
Bell
Turn the computer bell on or off.
Bell If checked, the computer bell rings when you reach the end of a field or variable while editing data, or when you enter invalid data. The default is on (checked).
Frequency Set the frequency of the bell tone in cycles per second. The range is 37 to 32,767, inclusive. The default is 512 Hertz (cycles per second).
Duration Set the duration of the bell tone in milliseconds. Must be an integer from 1 to 2000 (two seconds max), inclusive. The default is 50.
Play Bell Plays the bell with the frequency and duration you specify.
Epoch
Set the base year for interpreting two-digit years in dates. For example, if you set Epoch to 1930, two-digit dates from 00 to 29 will be interpreted as 2000 to 2029. The default for Epoch is 1950. See SET EPOCH.
