Customize settings for the dBASE Plus desktop environment. The Files page lets you specify the Navigator’s current directory and search path, your preferred external editor, output log and other preferences.

Output Log

If checked, an output log file will be created, showing any error or warning messages generated during the compile and/or link process.

Output Log File Name

Backup files

Sessions

If checked, sessions are enabled; dBASE Plus issues a CREATE SESSION command when running or designing a form from the Navigator. Sessions affect how you can work with the same table open multiple times. Within a session, you can change environment settings, define a transaction, open tables and indexes, and navigate records, all without affecting the operation of other sessions open at the same time.

Sessions are intended for older forms that use tables in work areas, and are generally not needed for forms that use data objects only. The Sessions setting is off by default.

How to get there: Choose Properties|Desktop Properties.
