The Data Module designer uses the DataModule class as the base class for all new data modules, unless you have specified a custom data module class. Here is where you can specify a custom data module class to be applied to the current and future data modules.

Custom data module class files have a .CDM extension.

Dialog box options

File name containing class

Enter the name of the file that contains the class you want to use. Or click image\BNTOOL.gif to display a list of existing class files. One file can contain more than one class.

Class name

Select the name of the class to use as the new base data module. The list displays all the classes in the class file you selected.

Clear custom data module class

Clear the current custom data module class and restore the default dBASE Plus data module as the base data module class.

How to get there: From the Data Module designer, choose File|Set Custom Data Module Class
